Congresbury Singers "Folk Songs of the British Isles"
Sam will be playing ukulele solos from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales as part of this concert.
from Congresbury Local News:
Following the success of their spring concerts, Congresbury Singers will be presenting a selection of Folk Songs of the British Isles on Saturday June 21st. In addition to well-known folk songs, some more serious than others, the concert will also celebrate the Centenary of the poet Dylan Thomas and Shakespeare's 450th Anniversary. The choir will be joined by guitarist Samantha Muir - on this occasion playing the ukulele! – and David Anderson for the readings.
The choir will be led by its musical director Gordon Pullin, who as a noted tenor in his own right, can be expected to entertain with his introductions to the pieces and a solo or two.
The evening will be held at St Andrew’s Church, Congresbury and will commence at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £8.00 (including a drink and some nibbles) and can be obtained in advance from Paul on 01275 878740, other choir members, or will be available on the door.
